Evaluation Task 7
Q7 looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

Looking back at the preliminary task i think that as a group we have made a vast improvement on the filming skills as we now have abetter understanding on how to use the Mac computers and the camera. In our preliminary task we had very little knowledge on filming skills and different techniques and on how to use this but this is where we got our practice. I think that now we have had more practice, we have improved our skills and this shows in our opening film sequence. Looking at all three of these shots i can safely say that we as a group have defiantly moved further one from our preliminary task to our final product.  Starting from when we first filmed the task the camera work was not clear and cut to the way it should be due to the tripod not being used to the standard it should have been used at.
Now to our final task the tripod was used almost all the time ensuring we had a stable shot.

When we as a group started to do our editing it was very confusing using the new type of program which was IMovie on the Mac computers. As no one in the group i was in had never used this type or simular type of program so finding all the different techniques that could help make our film of a better standard. When editing our preliminary task it took a lot longer as expected as we did not know how to use the program correctly. But when we can down to editing our final opening sequence our knolage of the program was to a satufactory standard to be able to make our film to a good quallity. Also we found how to use special effects on our film such as slow motion and fading in each frame. Finally when it came down to editing it was a whole new programme we had to use and get used to. This was because it was on a mac and no one in our group owned one meaning everything was new to us. So editing the preliminary task to a long time and we did not use it to the best we could have. When it came down to our final product everything was learnt that we had to learn when it came down to editing. The programme was used to the best standard it could have been giving our film many different structures and views. i.e slow motion.

when filming our preliminary task we used the school camera so we could compair the difference of using our personal camera so we could decide as a group what camera to use. As the camera has been used  by other students it has not been kepped in the best condition so we decided to use our own personal camera as get the best quallity picture and film.
With the camera in filming the preliminary task, we used the school camera meaning straight away what was shot was not to the best standard possible. But also because of the school camera everything which applied on it we as a group did not know about meaning things that were shot weren't to the standard they should be. For our final task we used my own camera giving the shot HD view and better quality. Also this meant everything on the camera we knew what they were and how to work them.
